Before I purchased this mower, I had real doubts about how well an electric mower would perform. This has been one of the best things I could have ever bought. The first time I used it, my grass was quite tall and thick in certain spots (it rains a lot where I live, and it can be difficult to time cutting between rain and my work schedule); this mower was able to cut through some of the thickest areas that my gas mower would not have been able to do nearly as well. I was going to get the self-propelled version, but this one is so much lighter. No need for more moving parts that could fail. This thing cuts well and is super quiet. I like the ability to fold it up and store it without worrying about fluids leaking. Looking forward to not changing the oil, messing with the carb, and all the other maintenance my other mower required. I had a blue Kobalt corded $100 special from Lowe’s that worked but just didn’t have the power and the cord was absolutely the most annoying thing. I looked for awhile until I found an awesome deal on this mower. I only got one battery which was a little risky because my yard is a few thousand square feet. I will probably get a second someday but the cool part is that it comes with this supercharger that sounds like a jet engine and fully charges the battery in a few hours!!So yeah the charger is noisy like a fan but when charging is done then it quiets down. I fought using a battery operated anything for a long time. Yes, i am a cavewoman. Yet I liked the idea of not having to worry with gas & oil. I worried it would not do as well as a gas mower. It does! It is wonderful. All you do is keep the battery charged and clean it after use. Get an extra battery. I cut an acre so having two is perfect. If you have two they auto switch over so you do not have to stop & recharge. It is very easy to use. Light weight. Nice cut. Adjustable cut heights. My yard is hilly. This lawn mower is easy to assemble, lightweight, and powerful enough to handle a full yard on one charge. It cuts the grass very short and evenly, and the battery lasts long enough for my entire lawn. It’s also much quieter than a gas mower and easy to store.I used to pay for a lawn service, but this mower saves me money and keeps my yard looking just as good. The only minor issue is that it makes a bit of noise when pulling it backward, but it doesn’t affect performance. The run time for the battery is misrepresented. The battery only lasts 40 minutes for me even though the Amazon web site states 60 minutes. I assumed my battery was defective. When I spoke to a Greenworks rep, they said that 40 minutes was acceptable for this battery. AI says to expect 45 - 60 minutes. Do NOT purchase this lawn mower if you need to mow for more than 40 minutes without supplying a backup battery.
