I know this food processor has gotten some bad reviews, but I tend to look at the combined total of 4 (15%) + 5 (64%) star rating and that give it 79%. I consider that to be quite good for a rating on Amazon. Then, I looked at the fact the ratings don't seem to be about anything other than the product it should be about. Lately, reviews for different products seem to be showing up where they don't belong, which distorts a product's true ratings. I bought this food processor to replace an old Hamilton Beach food processor that stopped working. This one is so much simpler! the bowl only fits on way, making it easy to position. And, it locks in place with tabs, rather than by having to twist it. So easy! I also like that there are labelled buttons for each kind of chopping you want to do. And both blades fit inside for storage, so you don't have to keep the box around for that purpose.If you're debating about getting this one, do it! You won't be disappointed.

We have used this food processor for one month, and we love it. This processor is replacing a 15 year old model and we don't miss the old one at all. Best features, simple to use, just sit bowl on like a blender, then snap the top on. You don't have to align and twist the pieces together. Unlike other models, this one is a breeze to use and occupies a place of honor on our counter top.We have made salsa, quick chopped vegetables for stir-fry, grated cabbage for coleslaw, grated and sliced block cheese using the wide mouth opening, mixed pasta dough, and made the best hash browns by grating pot

I bought this to replace a smaller, earlier version of a Hamilton Beach food processor where the base was extremely heavy, the blades were closer together, the chopping capability stronger and more productive of evenly chopped particles. The reason I decided to replace it was because the food container broke and it would have cost more to replace the container than it would be to buy a new machine.I use the product approximately 3 or 4 times a week for less than 2 minutes a time. I have had it now for several weeks. I do not how well it will stand up to more serious use over a length of time.W

I’m giving this 5 stars even though I’ve only used it a few times so far because it is so EASY to assemble & disassemble. I had Cuisinarts for 30+ years and when this last one seized up with the replacement S-blade that claimed it was for my model # i just couldn’t get myself to spend over $100 for another round of the same. So for a lot less I got this Hamilton Beach. Right out of the box it was clear the design was so much more thoughtful. All you have to do is set the container on the base—-not twist it and wrestle it. Same for the lid. There is just not that Cuisinart circus of making ever

Perfect and easy to use

My new processor is easy to use, easy to clean, and powerful enough for my home use. It shredded cheese beautifully! It does leave larger “end pieces” of what you are feeding into the chute than my old one. That was true for cheese, carrot, and cabbage. The machine is not heavy, but it stays firmly in place on the counter. Very few nooks and crannies that make washing take longer. I like it a lot more than expensive ones I’ve used at other peoples homes. A great buy, too!
