It started simple. A friend suggested i look at the battey operated logitec EU boom 1. Its wireless. Battery op. Water resistant. Great sound. I checked it out. The EU2 boom was bigger better badder. K done deal. The Aura is horrible!Yes, it’s beautiful, the sound is good, it takes up so much less space than the HK soundsticks + subwoofer.However I spent $435 (post tax) on the Aura hoping that it would significantly reduce the number of cables on my desk/desktop. I spent quite some time researching this (and other) products. I really wanted this speaker but when I found this listing I was puzzled by the many contradicting reviews. I heard this speaker at a friend's lake cabin and was impressed. I am a JBL Century 100 kind of audiophile....no expert but I like really good sound. I do NOT push this speaker to it's limits. I listen at a volume that would fill a 40 by 40 foot room at leisure level. It is capable of more. I own 2 of the babies! I like the sound they produce and the software is really nice. Have to have the software in order to adjust the bass from the high end sounds. I use all Apple computers and phones and it works well with them. some time they have difficult connecting but usually a turn on and off test fixes that. The one thing I dislike is the controls on the unit, there is no tactile response to them other than lighting up when you touch them, and the light is hidden by your finger. This product should be rated more than 5 stars. I've tested it with various input cables, Bluetooth, and different media (sports, movies, music, tv) and it is amazing. Everything works very well, and trust me when I say this product will fill your entire house with high quality sound. The setup takes literally a minute and you're up and running. Harmon Kardon actually developed their own app which is great, especially when you see some companies rely on third party apps which end up being junk.
