I bought this to use as a diaper bin and it's been a true blessing. Even with it filled to capacity we only smell the nastiness for the brief moment the lid is open. I just have to give this a full five stars. I have owned one since 2017 and it has been nothing but reliable and easy to clean. (My iteration only has a battery, no usb.)Battery has a very long life.I came back to look at a new one for aesthetics. They do eventually show some wear and tear! I was surprised at the lower reviews. Perhaps something has changed with the quality but I may try them once again.

My friend bought one for me about three or four Christmases ago and we loved it! The only gripe I have is that our lid gave out less than a year using it but the cool thing is that company sent us a replacement lid for only the cost of shipping. The second lid lasted about a year or so. I accept that most things aren’t built to last anymore and can live with it. I bought this for my mother in law as a present. She lives in a small house and didn’t have room for a bulky trash can. This was perfect. It is tall but not overly wide, square. She loved the opening and closing mechanism. Funny to say a trash can was a loved gift, but it really was. Excellent price and value. Holds a great deal of trash. Looks great.

To be fair, I was against the automatic trash cans in the first place. These are a purchase made by my wife. Upon her informing me that we would now be the proud owners of the latest "keeping up with the Joneses" product I was just so excited. I did not see a need that this overpriced trash storing receptacle solved that was lacking from the 100% waterproof, easy to clean, $7 garbage can I got from Walmart 20 years ago. I was told we got this due to the lid being able to lock and to be fair, the state of the art security latch did cause almost half a day of trouble for the child in question. H

Very nice and sleek. Sideways opening prevents spilling all way to trash can. Open with ease and is metal which resists the smell of soaking in. Easy opening with no hands as well as option to open or close by pressing a button. Battery powered or but adapter to use outlet power.
