    Juki is the way to go!

    I love my juki coverstitch! I made the switch from brother, after replacing my brother serger and falling in love with my new juki. It works so well and is so much easier to use than the brother. Threading takes a little getting used to, but it's a breeze once you get the hang of it.

    will not skip stitches

    I had singer for cover stitch before this one and was skipping stitches, but this one is better only skips once in a while. I am not beginner, I used be a professional pattern maker so I am used to saw a lot.

    1500 vs 1600

    juki 1500 looper loads on the left. very tricky very fussy. so I paid an extra 100 bucks to get the 1600. they sent the 1500. tried to be a good sport and live with it... no dice... wont stitch. tension is a nightmare.But... return was flawless, and immediate. hopefully the refund is also.

    Not for beginners or the impatient

    This machine is very finicky about thread and needles. If it doesn't drop a loop, the result is great. Getting to that point takes much effort.

    Very moody machine

    Juki MCS 1600. Very moody machine. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. It skips stitches and makes terrible grinding noises. I rethread, adjust tension dials, change needles, change thread, and get it working, then I look away and it starts up again. I have not been able to complete a project on it without constant readjustments. I am returning it.

    Smooth, Quiet, Powerful!

    This is a very robust, smooth, and powerful machine. Very quiet too. After years of using Juki overlook sergers, I found it very easy to thread and use. I ran an extensive test run the day it arrived and it performs perfectly with no skipped stitches. This machine is a winner!
