I had not previously had any experience with Janome products, but because of the reasonable price on the CoverPro 900CPX I decided to give it a try. I found it easy to thread, and reliable to stitch a good cover hem. That's all I want it to do and it does a great job. I am 100% satisfied. It arrived when it was promised to, and was packed to protect it in shipment. So I give the dealer and the CoverPro 900CPX 5 stars.
I absolutely LOVE this machine! I typically buy Babylock or Bernina (all my other machines). All I had to do is take out of the box, grab a scrap and start coverstitching and the stitches are perfection! It's is very sturdy and smooth while sewing. I love, love, love it! Now I can really enjoy sewing my own garments. My current serger I have to keep switching from serging to coverstitch and it is a total pain. Worth every penny ❤
this is a great machine - it was pre-threaded which helps a lot.. so far, after several tops being hemmed, it works like a champ.
It would have been nicer to get this machine in a 3 needle version at this price, and I can't figure out why this two stitch machine is priced so high, even here. In retail stores nearby, they sell the Elna, which is made by Janome, in this two stitch version for about twice this much, which is even more outrageous. However, It is what is needed in attaching elastic waistbands to the tops of swimwear and activewear. I haven't tried the chain stitch yet, and am hoping I can use that for decorative purposes someday.So far, it works great. My only complain is the free arm, which is basically usel
We have actually purchased two of these machines because the first one started skipping stitches like crazy. We took it to an authorized repairman and he couldn't fix it, even after two different tries. What we had to go through to return it to Janome to get fixed wasn't worth it to us, so we just got another one. I sew a lot and feel that a coverstitch machine is essential and they're aren't very many choices available to a home sewer, so we decided another machine was our best bet. We've had the new one for six months and so far it is doing pretty good. It still skips stitches when I go over

I got this machine because i've retired and am getting sewing jobs which includes shortening shorts. The Janome CoverPro 1000CPX works GREAT to get the stitch I need to professionally hem.
