Janome Convertible Free Motion Quilting Foot Set for Low Shank Models

If you want to quilt you projects yourself without having to buy a long-term you will love this it allows you to do more with your machine than you thought possible.

I'm a fan of Leah Day, and I tried her suggestion of clipping the plastic loop at the bottom of the darning foot that came with my Janome MO200 (aka MC5200) and bending the arm and winding a rubber band around the top spring. I had somewhat moderate success with that--in fact, the stitching was indeed superior to the stock foot--but the rubber band often slipped, necessitating my removing the foot and readjusting the rubber band, and the foot still bounced up and down a wee bit. Without a doubt the best FMQ foot I've ever had. From the very minute I installed it and tried it on a scrap piece I keep for testing I could tell this was the cadillac of FMQ feet. You will not be dissapointed. Don't let the price scare you it's worth every cent! Just make sure it's compatibile with you sewing machine. I have a Janome Magnolia 7330 and it fits perfect. Thanks to other Amazon reviewers I realized this is what I was looking for. I bought it for my Janome MC6300P also purchased from Amazon a couple of years ago. Love that machine. The important things to know--I bought the low shank model because that is what my machine has. This is a floating free motion quilting foot--not a hopping darner foot that comes with most new machines. That is a good thing--we do not like that hopping going on. I used my free motion foot for the first time to do some random stitching to patch a pair of my work jeans. I cut a patch from an old flannel shirt, sew it to the inside of the jeans and then do free motion stitching all over to hold the patch in place. It works like a charm. This FMQ foot made an amazing difference in my machine quilting! I have a wonderful Janome 6500 Memory Craft machine but I was frustrated by the other FMQ/darning feet I'd tried. These feet don't have the bouncing motion that other FMQ feet have and they allow me to glide my fabric consistently for much better stitch control .
