Background:I just made the jump from what ever the heck garbage I was using to a mechanical keyboard for gaming. This is my first real keyboard and I have to be honest, I was intimidated by what is out there and a little uneasy about the purchase because I wasn't sure what I was going to get at this price point. I'm coming from a corsair membrane keyboard and let me just say, the difference is incredible. I went with the red switches since I game a lot, and I just can't get over how easy it is to actuate these switches and how much quicker my input is registered. I recommend purchasing a mechanical keyboard even though they tend to be more expensive than their lighter, less tactile generic counterparts. The actual keyboard itself is heavier than a membrane keyboard, and the keys are much more satisfying to press. These red switches are not that loud, and if you use a keyboard tray like I do, they will most likely not be picked up by your mic. Unlike membrane keys, mechanical keys are weightier and more responsive. I recommend watching a YouTube review so you can hear the switches before purchasing. This keyboard is amazing.After using this keyboard I can never go back to a keyboard that doesn't have dedicated media controls, and the volume wheel has spoiled me.PROS:- Keys feel great to type on- Lighting is bright, and having a key dedicated to adjusting that brightness is a nice bonus- V O L U M E W H E E L and other dedicated media keys make this an incredible keyboard if you enjoy listening to music while doing other tasks (playing games and such)- Very sturdy and rigid casing- It's Logitech, their stuff lasts longer than some of my older computersCONS:- No RGB lighting (only white)- N
