Great set! Comes with an extra queen for both colors, came with all the right pieces and is a durable game board. Definitely a great price and a great gift idea, especially for those just getting into chess (too many expensive sets out there, this one does the job just fine). The magnetic pieces are helpful, though on occasion the pieces will attach themselves to one another (really that just happens if you act a fool like my boyfriend and I tend to, but if you're normal, it should be fine). The material is great, size of the board is perfect, worth the price for sure!

Good chess set! My nephews had hours of fun playing on this board. The magnetic pieces are handy so in case you have to move the set mid-game, or it accidentally gets bumped, the pieces stay. It folds up nicely with the pieces stored safely inside. It's durable and good quality.

Love this chess set. It’s small enough for transport but big enough to use daily for play. I love how the pieces are held securely in the foam storage area and having the magnetic feature is great for when you need to pause a game and you don’t want to lose your spot or if you need to move it somewhere else. I was pleasantly surprised with this chess set. It's much better built than I had expected.Unfortunately, the carrier dropped the box and slightly damaged one of the corners. That has nothing to do with the manufacturer. I thought about reaching out to replace it, but it was too much jumping through hoops.The magnetic pieces are a nice touch. The face of the board is either vinyl or a soft veneer that looks like wood, which aesthetically is fine and feels really smooth and nice, but because it's soft, it scratches very easily.
