First off, let's get it out of the way--this is a fun game, very visually pleasing, and the scoring is a sneaky way to get your kid to work on math skills.But I think what's really impressive about this game is that it allows an adult to play the game "down" to a kid's level without feeling like you're throwing the game. Simply put: it's a fun game to play, and you can easily turn off your cut-throat long-term strategy brain and just have fun with it, while your kid does her/his own thing--and it doesn't bore you because you're beating the pants off of your opponent, or taking it easy on them.

Instructions are a bit complicated but it is a nice game that requires planing and strategy. Still you can play with children. The game is beautiful with the tiles.

Love the Azul game. Simple to learn. It can be quite a strategy game at higher levels. Highly recommend for those without the zest for super-involved games. I'd played before, but purchased for a family member suffering from a stroke. The tactile element, interactive play and relatively simple, yet stimulating element should be perfect for their rehab.
