On your turn in Toy Battle, you either draw two toy troops or place a troop on the board and apply its effect. When a place a troop, you can place it on an empty base, a base that you control, a base that the enemy controls with a lower-valued troop than the one you're placing, or the enemy's headquarters; however, in all cases you must place on a location that has a continuous path to your own headquarters through bases that you occupy, that is, that have your troop on top.

This is my favorite light and quick game that I own. It’s easy to pick up and learn but the decision making can get quite deep and interesting for such a simple concept. It comes with the 8 unique maps that all feel different and alter the way you play the game. The production also seems super nice for what it is. I absolutely recommend, and even my 5 year old son was able to pick it up and play well which is great for problem solving.
Fun game. Quick to play. Easy to learn, but lots of variety with the 8 different included battlefields.
I got this game for my five year old son. He loves the game and so do I! The have is simple enough to pay with a kindergarten but has the complexity to play for hours with an adult as well.The actions in the game are super simple. You do one of two things on your turn. 1. Play a tile from your hand. 2. Draw two tiles from the reserve.Your goal is to either collect a specific number of victory points or to play a troop on your opponents home base.This game has a lot of replayability as well. It comes with eight different maps for you to battle on and you also randomly remove a few tiles before
I played this with my wife last weekend. It took about 15 minutes to play. Not too many instructions. Very light Stratego feeling game (higher number beats lower numbers and there are two pieces that can take out higher numbers). There's some randomness to it, but it's so light and quick, we didn't get upset when things didn't go our way.
