This is a good party game, and we play it slightly different than the rules. We have one person giving the hints, and the rest of the group tries to guess. We enjoy it more that way, and it encourages participation by all. By using color cubes and colored "theme" pieces, you mark things on the board to give people clues. It's kind of like charades, pictionary, or other party games where hints are given to guess the correct word. Difficulty is based off of the word you choose, so it can be variable. My family loves this game. It's not your typical board game. It really forces us to think outside the box, and we find it very engaging and fun to play over and over again. And while it can get complicated, we always end up having some great discussions when it gets too difficult to figure out the clues. We have made up some of our own house rules depending on who is playing, but this is one game we keep going back to. Quality game board and pieces (the colored cubes are so fun).

Very fun game, can be tricky but very entertaining to see how others think. It’s basically like Pictionary without the drawing and instead using pictures on the board. You have different colors to use to differentiate clues (one color to explain the big picture and another color to give a more specific idea.

I don't know how it took me almost 10 years after its release to find this game. Such a clever concept (pun intended) and surprisingly challenging. The game pieces are of good quality and the three icon cheat sheets were a great addition to have for players new to the game. This game is so fun and easy to explain. Good for 2 people or larger crowds. We don’t follow the rules, we just have one person do the board and everyone else guesses. Like charades.

We play Taboo. We play Pictionary. But we've been through the Taboo cards (and refills) half a dozen times, and a few in our group feel too artistically challenged to enjoy Pictionary as much as the others.Enter Concept.We read the review in Games Magazine and thought we'd enjoy it. The first time you play with anyone new it will take a bit of time to learn the new "language" of Concept. It's totally worth it. It's such a fun challenge, and every time I've played the new players start out hesitant and stick with the easiest ones.
