Many Kinds of Matter: A Look at Solids, Liquids, and Gases (Lightning Bolt Books ® ― Exploring Physical Science)

This book was great by not only teaching the content, states of matter, but also for using non-fiction text features to better understand a text. I read this to my second grade class and they thoroughly enjoyed it. We would discuss the states of matter, then go back and count all the text features. This book was much better than the other books I have about matter because it was just the right amount of information when introducing states of matter. I will be suggesting it to my coworkers!

I did a lesson on the three stages of matter with my Special Education Students. This book was well adapted to my needs and helped tremendously in the classroom conveying information to my students.
