These knives are super sharp so be careful when taking them out of the foam packaging because I've seen it happen before you'll cut your self deeply, I am honestly surprised by the quality, super sharp edges, feels good in my hands, well balanced the handle I believe is metal and the metalic blue handle pretty pretty nice, I would Highly recommend. I needed a set of knives, as I just moved. These were priced right and interesting to look at. They work. Absolutely. Apparently they don't get dull (I have no way to test this). There is no "serrated knife." I found this out when I was trying to slice a roll. That's when I realized I was screwed. Not good for slicing soft things. Other than that, they are what you would expect. Sharp enough for kitchen use, super easy to clean, pretty much hassle-free; and they are red, which is cool. But now that I have a serrated knife it does not match. I guess I can live with that.

These are super sharp, which is exactly what you want in a knife. The only thing that I would caution you to consider is that they are very light weight as well. I know some folks like a knife that has weight and heft; these do not have that. The blade is light and the handle is light. So consider your personal preference in that area.The only complaint I have is that these only come with a tip guard, and installing the tip guard before you put it away is fraught with danger that you might slice your own finger. I've bought ceramic knives from (of all places) Harbor Freight. Liked the sharpness and they cut tomatoes really nicely. One caveat - the ceramic can be brittle and if you're not careful they will chip--where stainless steel won't. Also you CANNOT use ceramic knives on corelle dishes or it will crack the dish (drat).I do wish this set included a knife sleeve that would cover the knife, instead they have a small "tip" rubber piece. I love these knives and use them every day. I've had them for a couple years now and they look and function like new. Hand wash them, as you should all ceramic knives!
