This is my 4th PC build, all of them had MSI motherboards. This is the first with the attached I/O shield - what a great feature!. Had no issue with the CPU (I7-9700k) or Windows and the Bios since the Bios version was from April 2019.Toughram 16gb at 3200 worked flawlessly; all I had to do was turn on XMP on main Bios screen (one button). The Bios screens are easy to follow. Have 2 2TB Samsung Pro SSDs, MSI 2060 Super X GPU, 3 RGB fans, Corsair AX 1000 PSUBecause I have a board made in May, the Driver/Utility disk was a bit out of date so went to MSI website to get latest version of Dragon Ce

It had what I needed and wanted.Quality is good. . Connectors and shield better than average bear. Ethernet with cable not wireless. (Why? because it has a stable signal compared to wireless. Also harder to hack. So if your wanting to game go for a high speed, hard contact EthernetLayout is nice fan connectors in 4 areas for better management. USB and front case connector right on that side or right bottom. Great. I chose to go with this motherboard because it had solid reviews, wasn't overly pricy and appeared to have a lot of functionality. I had never built a PC before so this was my first. I had no problem installing it and with the help of a few youtube videos I was able to connect everything correctly on the first try! I purchased this motherboard after using a MSI Z170 Gaming M7 for awhile and an MSI Z370 Gaming PRO CARBON briefly. I was underwhelmed by the Z370 and decided to update to MSI's Z390 line. I am very happy that I went with the update.The motherboard is equipped with x2 M.2 slots (with one optional heatsink), x6 SATA ports, customisable RGB lights on the board itself (as shown in their product picture), x3 PCIe slots, a dedicated RGB LED connector, an easy to utilise overclocking feature within the BIOS, and 6 fan slots overall (2 PWM's and 4 DC's). Currently running an 8600k. Temps are great and my OC seems to be a bit more stable. Only had this for a few days, so I'm still testing and running benchmarks. One issue I had was with the usb 3.1 pins. They bend VERY easily. Didn't have as much of an issue with other boards.The M.2 Shield Frozr keeps my drive cool. Was getting up to 73C, but now it gets to about 60C. Also, if you only have one M.2, it's okay to use it with Shield Frozr. I really liked the BIOS interface for this motherboard. It made the setup of my new rig a breeze. Also with the MSI settings I was able to overclock my CPU within minutes. I choose this motherboard over the other models that are available because it supports both 8th & 9th generation Intel processors. I also loved the look with the matte black finish it went perfect with my build. I feel that this motherboard fits my need perfectly with all the functionality and support for various builds. The only thing that I would like to see improved on the motherboard is the led accent lighting it's place

Dead on arrival. I spent an hour swapping parts over from another perfectly fine case, got absolutely no video, not even POST, which means BAD MOTHERBOARD 99% of the time, then another hour troubleshooting to ensure I didn't miss something (of course I didn't), then another hour putting everything back how it was before...... and WOW, everything works exactly like it was supposed to, using my old board.I only tried this board to add another 64GB of RAM (since most boards like mine only allow 64GB) to 128, but wow am I stupid for bothering.
