The laptop is fantastic. However, i would do a fresh windows install to get rid of the crazy amount of bloat ware. It performs amazingly well. The fans are super loud when you do heavy gaming but I don’t hear it over my headphones and i figure the fans are just doing their job so it doesn’t bother me. When you do that fresh install, make sure you go download predatorsense from Acer to control the fans.

Great laptop with unfixable hardware problem. I'll keep it brief: this monster is great for everything I need it for. I travel a lot and do audio engineering and gaming in spare time, and this handles it all.Now for the problem: the USBC ports on the majority are defective. The controller sits next to the heat sink and within 5-10 minutes of coming on they shut down. There is no fix anywhere because it is strictly a hardware problem. Great Laptop for the money

My main desktop computer at home is several years old. It still works surprisingly well, but I've been casually looking at replacement options because I know it won't stay current forever. I had always assumed I'd eventually buy another desktop, but someone recently told me they use a gaming laptop as their primary computer. They simply connect it to a larger monitor when they're at home and, if needed, can unplug it and take it with them. It came on time, and in 1 peace.After using 1 week, I'm mailing it in for repairs! 1st, when using Davinci Resolve, the program said it stopped responding, as if the laptop couldn't handle the software, which it should be able to. Then, when using Davinci Resolve, I needed to restart the laptop, which got locked up! Like, it wouldn't turn off, after Cntl, Alt, & Delete didn't respond, or pressing and holding power off for 1-2 min.+ and pulling the charging cable out.I contacted customer support, which couldn't resolve the issue and wants me to mail it in, and without a laptop for 1- 2 weeks. It will the first and last Acer I buy. Got it set up everything went fine. After all that I finally go to play something it’s freezes within 5 minutes of me opening the game. Shows a message saying this device encountered a problem and needs to restart. It also likes to black screen all the time and you have to hard rest it . So not even 24 hours after I got I have to return it.
