Good book teaching Physics for a younger age group.

Thick and complete science encyclopedias like from DK have too much information for a kid. These encylopedias are just sitting on my bookshelves.However, this book has very simplified drawings but enough details for the parents to explain to the kids about the basic concepts of physics. This is actually the first book I could finish with my kid regarding to anything about science. I also bought "my first book about chemistry" and I can't wait to read it with my 9 yr kid. These books will definitely prepare my kid to understand more complete and difficult books on science. You can introduce the

I bought this for a 9-year old girl who is fascinated by nature and the outdoors. This book will help explain the 'why' of many of the things she sees around her. Girls loose interest in science before boys. They need to be encouraged to continue to study and understand the world around them.

This is good book however my 7-year-old son's first comment was that it does not have any colors. It would be better if the book could have been printed in colors.

Easy to understand and clear explanation for starters.

The vendor could add some pictures of the inside of the book so that the buyers can get an idea of what to expect when they buy this book. It would be a bad idea to give this to a beginner.
