Forces Make Things Move: A Fun Science Picture Book with Hands-On Experiments About Physics for Kids (Ages 4-8) (Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science 2)

Another great book in the series to add to the collection! I have several books in the "Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science" series and my preschooler and I enjoy all of them. "Forces Make Things Move" is about pushing and pulling, friction, and gravity. It has an experiment on friction at the back of the book that the kids can do to try it for themselves. There's a lot of explaining of concepts in this book, so it's better understood by a first grader than preschooler. Well written, nicely illustrated, and entertaining!

My son loves the whole, Let's Read and Find Out series. They're well written and very enjoyable.

My five year old son has been asking a lot of questions lately and so I bought a bunch of these books and this was one of them.I love the way they explain how when we exert force on something that things also exerts force on you. It explains the concepts really well. This is not a two line per page book. But it is not too wordy that your kid will lose interest.

So many questions are answered in this children literature text. Force is anything aroung us that has weight and occupies space. Great learnjng materials for kids and teachers to use in their classrooms.

This book worked great in a kindergarten setting. Worked perfectly with our unit.

In this book it’s using words and colorful drawings to teach my 6 years old grandson to understand of friction and gravity!

My son is 5 years old. I bought this book for him since he seems interested in science and I have a science background. He liked it a lot and wanted us to read it to him several times. It is probably more appropriate for kids a little older but he seemed to understand the concepts. We use the concepts from the book when doing everyday activities. The book was very good at explaining forces at a simple level.
