All About Sound (Rookie Read-About Science: Physical Science: Previous Editions)

Use this to teach my first grade class about sound waves. Great book and right on their level.

Great book on sound!

I really love the rookie books. I read them as a child, and now have a three year old that I love to introduce basic concepts to. This book really leaves me with a blank stare. It says sound is a vibration and gives examples how to find a vibration by strumming a guitar or putting a ruler on a table and flicking it. Then it says to hit something and get a friend to hit something else and start a marching band. It really doesn't fulfill much understanding of anything. I would not recommend this book.

azing!! My 6 year old loved it.wonderful for young reader. The picture and the text is big which attracts the child to read

It is small sized book ( having only 32 pages ). Text inside this book is minimum ( in large front , maximum 3 sentences in a page; many pages have a picture and only 1 sentence. Very little ( sometimes useless like 'clapping can produce sound') information.At a price of Rs 28 it is o.k. But if you are paying more for this book then it is better to avoid buying this book.
