I've used this quite a bit and it definitely comes in handy at times. It is just plastic but it's not really a tool that you would abuse so it should last a long time

It works, I do not have the issue with flex. You have two stops included: one straight for plunge cut blades, and one curved for segment blades. The one for segment blades might not be the perfect fit, bc there are blades with varying diameters, hence radii. Because of that, the curve may tighter or wider. I used the stop to limit the cutting depth through floor boards to minimize the risk if hitting cables that run in the floor. The material feels like nylon. I do not see any manufacturing issues. The plastic material does not cause any marring.

It works as advertised. The only reason for 4 stars is because lock mechanism around the collar is easy to unlock and after some using only a few times, it doesn't fit as snug as it used to and there's no way of adjusting its tightness.

Be advised: This tool requires that you swap the two guide rods, depending on which cutter you are using. Since you can't re-use the packaging, there's no place to store the unused rod (or the instructions, tough they are worthless anyway) so besides having to remember which rod is for which cutter, you are bound to lose one of them, fairly soon.Another issue: I suppose this will be helpful once in a while, but getting it set "just right" is a pain: With a straight blade, you have to be very careful to get the base parallel with the edge of the blade. Gets the job done

Needed to make a cut of 3/4 plywood from beneath a deck that had a DecRite surface that I did not want to cut through. I was able to set the tool at the depth of a 3/4” plywood sheet which is actually 23/32” thick. Worked perfectly for that cut.

This is something I seldom use, but when I need it I'm glad to have it. Installing and adjusting it couldn't be easier, and there's even an instruction booklet in the package. It's made of plastic, so I exercise a little care with it. A handy accessory for such a versatile tool. I got it when the price had dropped a little, so I like it even more. Made in Hungary.

I'm a little bit disappointed in this one. The overall design is ok but it's made out of plastic which has a bit of flex.It works well with the stick but the foot can bend easily and this affects the depth of cut. Also the plastic surface of the foot has a bit of tooth and doesn't glide smoothly over wood. Another issue is that the cam locking collar doesn't lock all that tight; with enough pressure it can rotate.If this item was made of metal and had a collar that locked tight I'd happily give it 5 stars. As it is when this one breaks (which could happen soon given it's plastic construction)
