Pars Automatic Persian Rice Cooker - Tahdig Rice Maker Perfect Rice Crust, 5 Cup

I absolutely love this rice cooker! It’s perfect for making Persian-style rice, and the tahdig comes out beautifully crispy and golden. The rice cooks evenly and turns out fluffy and delicious every time. It’s also very easy to use and makes preparing Persian rice so much easier. If you love a good crispy tahdig, I definitely recommend this rice cooker!

I have been hedging back and forth on whether to buy this or not and what size I would want. I read many of the comments and all were helpful, some suggested trial and error, but I had guests for dinner, so I used 5 of the "cups" per the one provided( I bought the 7 cup), washed the rice throughly, soaked it one hour then added the chopped dried apricots and chopped dried sour cherries, 2 tsp salt. I have both the 8 cup and the 5 cup Pars rice cookers. The smaller is easier to use because you put the rinsed rice, water, salt and oil, topped by a paper towel between the lid and pot. Turn the knob and let the rice cook. It comes out crispy every time with little effort. Updated: The last photo shows the smaller rice cooker with Basmati rice after 1 hour. The bottom was burned with a smaller portion of rice.The larger rice cooker works totally different. You have to pre-boil the water in the rice cooker first.
