The best Range hood ever.
I have bout and installed a lot of range hood as I am a contractor. this has been the best build quality. It wasn't the easiest to install. The directions need to be read carefully before installing. the build quality is top notch and there are a lot of thoughtful feature. The vent filters have a safety cable so they fall out when being removed. The hood has a built in air quality sensor that allows the fan to come on and quietly vent out air. Voice control with Alexa or Google through the smartthings app.

BUYER BEWARE - NO SUPPORT WHATSOEVER FOR DAMAGED PARTS FROM AMAZON OR SAMSUNG
Amazon and Samsung both refuse to provide any sensible support to replace a damaged part (bent filter) in the range hood fan. The bent filter was only apparent after the range hood fan had been installed.When I initially contacted Amazon support, they referred me to Samsung to resolve the matter. Samsung's position, after speaking with two separate customer support agents, is that they won't replace the damaged part as the range hood fan was not purchased via Samsung's website or thru Samsung's authorized parts retailer. Apparently, the 1-year manufacturer warranty for the range hood fan from

This is super overkill but for someone who cooks, it's definitely a gift.Why is does thing have an app? For years it's been a joke, why does everything have an app? Fridges, toothbrushes, not everything needs an app. We have enough apps on our phones. However this at least uses the general samsung smart things app which you can use on other devices.Info=4 fan speeds=very modern look=This is available in three colors: clean white, clean grey, and clean deep charcoal. The last one seems to be more expensive but prices may vary. Shop around.=There is also a 36" available besides the 30"=There are
