Let me just say that this little rice cooker packs a punch for just 2 people. Can easily feed 4 in one sitting no doubt.I am not too sure of some bad experiences that other reviewers had but, mine definitely sold me for this price point & versatility.Had this running on a Bigblue Cellpowa 500 solar powered generator with 48% of juice left in the system. Pulled a steady 225w continuously for about 25 - 30 minutes until completion, granted that I had 4 cups (cup that was provided) cooking Nishiki premium grade rice. I like this TLOG mini rice cooker because of its size and it make’s perfect rice every time.This is how I do it. First I measure the rice , I 1/2cup, add to the inner pot, rinse the rice, 2-3 times ., drain just using my hand. Add water to the 1 1/2 line, for white rice . Close the lid and plug the cooker.Press the button for the white rice, after 30-35 minutes, rice is done, you’ll hear a click and see the keep warm button lit, I wait few minutes, to unplug the cooker , then I open the rice cooker, fluff the rice, using the plastic spoon., serve. after sifting through hundreds of reviews, dimensions, and videos, i threw the dice on the tlog. there is nothing wrong with this rice cooker. it could be refined in some areas, but the ads are not misleading. if my parents ate rice at home, this would be perfect for them. it's easy to use, compact, cheap-ish, and makes the right amount for two people to have a meal (with minimal left-overs). most importantly, it cooks rice how they would expect it to be cooked.not a set it and forget it. poor venting means that if you don't drain the lid when the timer alarms, all the condensed water trapped

I needed a rice cooker for my lengthy road trips. Paired with my 500w inverter this rice cooker is great. I trialed a car plug in 100w unit and took over an hour to make simple rice. This unit pulls 230w at warm or cook settings and takes 15minutes to get the job done. I’m starting to boil at 6minutes. I have done full meals in this set and loving the utility of this set. The price tag is more than I’d want to pay but pulled the trigger anyway for my needs. Cooker is compact which is perfect for my small kitchen. 1 cup rice 2 cups water makes a perfect serving for 2!Tip - don't use metal spoons/forks to serve rice from the cooker bowl. Only use silicone/rubber etc. as it will prevent damage to the non-stick ceramic and keep it working for far longer. :)
