What put it over the top for me was the little remote that allows me to take the picture from a distance. Well, for openers, I wouldn't exactly consider this tripod to be "Heavy Duty" as stated in the description. It is, however, sturdy enough for me to be comfortable using it with my cameras, including my Nikon P1000, which is a beast, weighing in at just over 3 lbs. without having to worry that it will collapse or blow over in a breeze.
