This is the first time that I have replaced my OEM air filter since having purchased my Whirlpool refrigerator. The manual calls for Air Filter Order Part #W10311524. I purchased this replacement air filter back in June 2015 directly from Amazon (seller) and I'm very satisfied with it. I think it does help reduce the odor in the fridge. It may not always be apparent as to whether it is working or not because the contents of my fridge is constantly changing but I believe (and I want to believe) that it does make a difference. Not available at Home Depot, so purchased on line. More expensive than I would have liked, but what are you going to do? Seems to work okay (no smells, and I don't need to use boxes of baking soda, so saving a few dollars there.

Absorbs odors for months

My Fridge always smells fresh even with onions and garlic in it using these filters. I started using these ten years ago but I wanted to save some money. Amazon had some for less than halve what Whirlpool wanted, not authentic. I made a Big Mistake trying to save money and had to live with a smelly fridge. The cheap ones do not work. My Fridge stunk until I got the Whirlpool filters. Make sure that you get authentic replacements.Always buy the authentic Whirlpool products and do not try to save money, you will regret it.
