Whirlpool W10862460 Refrigerator Water Filter Housing Genuine Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Part

I was not getting water out of my dispenser and no ice was being made. I changed the filter and that did not fix the problem. I knew I had water flow to the refrigerator because if I took the filter out of the housing, water could easily be dispensed. Unfortunately , you can't leave the filter out all of the time due to water leaking out on the floor. This new water filter housing unit fixed both issues with my refrigerator. Installation was easier than expected. It only took about 15 minutes. I now have water through the dispenser and the ice maker is functioning again.

Yay. I installed this, and it functioned without leaking. Other than having to loosen the valve body in the back (where the shorter water tube goes) to get enough slack to attach the filter housing, the installation was relatively easy.

I had been having issues with my water dispenser. No water would dispense when the filter was installed. I tried switching the water filter several times with no luck. I changed the water inlet valve before because of the same issue. That solved the problem for a few months but then no water was being dispensed again. I figured to try my luck with this filter housing. Sure enough there was something wrong with mine and this one did the job. Just as good of a quality as OEM. Happy with the part. Works as advertised.

The housing work great very easy to install . The price was great , this is the third time I’ve had to order parts for my refrigerator . The parts work perfectly on my refrigerator.

I installed this for a client who had little to no flow through the cold water tap on the fridge. I had installed a new solenoid valve assembly, which did nothing for it, and tried a new filter, to no avail. The valve in this unit goes bad, and limits the flow to a trickle.Replacing it is not that hard, but remember to turn the water supply to the fridge off. Don't ask me how i know.

my renter couldn't figure it out but I was able to with a little time.just know a few tips1. install from front, not the back2. stick the grey grommets into the housing before the pipe!3, once the pipe is inserted, pull on the grommet just enough to give enough space to slide the clips between gap (this clip is to keep the grommet away from the housing) which engages the teeth that bit into the pipe.4. be careful how you install the filter, if you just throw it in like me then try to close the door, your going to be very frustrated like I was to get the filter back out because the door won't c
