    I had an issue where my ice maker was not making anywhere as much as it used to. I saw the message that the water filter needed to be changed (I did not know that I needed to do it, and have owned the house for a year and a half). Once I replaced it my ice issues went away in about 24 hours.

    This filter does the job

    My Masterpiece fridge needs this filter for ice maker. Genuine Bosch/Thermador filter is the way to go.I had trouble installing the replacement filter the first time; I tried to put the wrong end of the filter into the chute. But system is idiot-proof -- it would not go in. Doubt anyone else will have that problem, as the system seems well-designed.I replace the filter every 6 months with this part ( specified in User Manual). It just works.

    Defective filters

    Defective. I bought it in July because I always buy another filter when I replace one to have on hand when it’s time to replace. I put this filter in 2 weeks ago and it caused my refrigerator to start leaking water immediately so I had to pull it out and ordered another filter. I also called the repairman and could get on his schedule so I waited to put in the new filter, same filter I bought in July. Both were defective. In fact the second filter was to fat and would’ve go into the spot for the filter. Of course I can’t return the first filter because it was purchased over 6 months ago. So I
