These are so easy to install and make me feel better about drinking water as I don’t trust the pipes in my house. Even the dog gets filtered water. Water always tastes great and have never had any issues. Wish they weren’t so expensive or had a two pack for a little less. But I seem to use one every six months has been my average. Never owned a refrigerator with a water dispenser before.

My city sometimes has very chlorinated-smelling water, to the point where running a bath can borderline smell like a hot tub. This filter completely eliminates those odors/tastes and leaves the water nice and plain. I won’t say pure because it’s still city water and not spring water lol, but far more drinkable and odorless than straight from the tap. It is expensive, but worth it. I don’t trust cheaper off-brand filters for this kind of thing. I think buying OEM is the right move here.

I always buy this item for my fridge water filter. The item is simple to install. Never had any issues with this product. My water is a little slower but that's only because my water goes through a reverse osmosis filter first. Might be overkill but my water tastes pretty good.

Perfect fit! I easily found this refill water filter on Amazon. I initially...quickly read over the instructions but, not fully. It does what it’s supposed to do, and I’ve never personally noticed any bad taste or change in water quality while using it.I haven’t done any independent testing beyond the information provided by the manufacturer, but based on our household usage, we consider ourselves light-to-moderate users. Sometimes a product doing what it is supposed to do is the best praise. Most refrigerators say to replace every six months. I have found it really depends on your usage. For me, at this time in my life, it is one person. I consider myself a fairly decent water drinker (about 50 ounces a day, and more in summer). I bought a GE refrigerator about 3 years ago and it came with my first GE XWFE filter. They have always worked great and are easy to install. I suggest that you steer clear of all imitations and buy the original GE equipment. I credit this filter with ensuring that my water tastes great.

A water tester from a drinking water company (I could not recall the name, but I recall the rep said his company uses a drinking water filtration system called Raindrop; anyhow, that rep was not a government county official) came to test the amount of impurities in my tap water and in the water from the recently purchased GE XWFE water filter installed in my fridge.
