Super easy install and it just worked
This was very easy to install. Just loosen the top hanger screws and then remove the lower screw. Lift up, tilt back a bit to clear the spout, then pull forward, remove the connector and then the wire bundle from the retainer clip, and it's out. I harvested the control arm and front cover from the old one and installed in the new unit. My old wiring harness just plugged right in to the new unit, and reinstall was a simple reverse process. The tray filled in no time, and it was dumping ice the same afternoon. Great value and design.

Great replacement for Kenmore fridge/freezer
I was able to use this to perfectly replace my old ice maker that went bad in my Kenmore refrigerator.This does NOT come with the plastic cover for the front of the unit, nor the metal arm to enable/disable the ice maker. The photos show that but I didn't realize it at the time. No big deal, I took those parts off of my old unit and they fit perfectly onto this one.The plug on the wiring harness that connects to the freezer did not fit to the plug in my Kenmore freezer. However, I took the wiring harness off of the old unit, and the plug on the ice maker side was a perfect match so I was able

Fits my 2003 Kenmore Top Freezer
Fits my 2003 Kenmore model number 106.71252101. Make sure to keep the old unit for parts. I had to use the arm, front cover and wiring harness. Easy instalation with 1/4 nut driver. The teflon on the mold had coroded causing it to leak. The new unit fixed that issue.
