The GE In-Line Water Filtration System provides filtered ice and water for refrigerators without built-in filtration systems. This easy to install system simply attaches directly to your existing refrigerator/icemaker water line with a twist and lock design that requires no tools. This water filtration system reduces lead, select pharmaceuticals, select VOCs, cysts, chlorine taste and odor and other contaminants.

The filter (FQK1K) should be replaces at most every six months for best filtration results.

    Easy and good

    So far so good. After fighting with foul taste for our in-fridge LG filters for a while, I decided to try this in-line filter instead. So glad I did. it was easy to install under the kitchen sink, and after flushing as directed (and removing the in-fridge filter), we once again have great tasting water. GE for the win!

    Do not use with copper hose

    You must only use plastic hose. Copper will not hold and leak. I'm not to thrilled about the clamping system anyway.

    Good filler for the refrigerator, but lasted only 3 months

    Easy enough to install and works well. We use it for the icemaker in the refrigerator and it removed the bad taste. Little expensive specially since it needed to replaced after 3 months vs. lasting for 6 months.

    after 4 months,Water is leaking from the unit, not from the filter,Very poorly made... only 30day warranty on it.
