This was definitely a good buy. When I called to have a repair person come out it was going to be almost $400 to have the ice maker replaced.We were going to buy an ice maker when we decided to check if we could fix it ourselves and found exactly what we needed. It was easy to install and a return slip was enclosed to send back the broken one at no charge.The replacement works great and we didn't even have to wait 24 hours to get our first ice cubes.
Works perfectly. The motor had died on the original one. Advise installing with a second person's help, but it's easy to install. I asked AI for step-by-step directions as the product didn't come with install directions. For safety, turn off the breaker for the frig or unplug it first. Then make sure to reset the freezer temp to 0 afterward, or use the default settings button to restore temp. We used a phone camera to take a picture of the screws the unit hangs on -- those need to be loosened first to remove the old unit.
Perfect fit, and very very easy to remove the old ice maker and install the new one. And better yet it started producing ice well within an hour and a half. Now after approximately 8 months it still making ice.
This one worked great! I went through 2 of the cheaper ones and had to return both because they didn’t work properly.
Exact fit for a Frigidaire BFHS2611LM1. The swap took a total of five minutes.. Plus this unit had a cover that slipped over the electrical connection for better protection. Great product.
