I love the ice from that drive-in place and any place that has similar ice chips (unfortunately, the ERs in the area have that type of ice too...). We had a larger tabletop ice machine that we replaced with this one. Not to knock the older one, but it was starting to have issues, and because this one was so much cheaper than the last, we opted to get it while it was at the sale price. I will tell you, this machine is worth it at any price!Pros;Size much smaller than the old one and has a footprint of half that of the older one.It is not as heavy as our older one.Which makes Cleaning it simple

Just got this yesterday. Came with a dent, despite the thorough and safe packaging, but maybe I bumped it and didn't notice. Works great! Approximately half full of ice after one hour. Ice is unfortunately a little tough for what I personally expect from nugget ice. Easy on my teeth regardless. My biggest complaint? It's louder than a convience store fridge. I own a Redbull mini-fridge (mini = 3ft), this Ice Machine is louder than that. I can tune it out easily though.If I do not forget, I will update this with a more long term use review. If you love, nugget ice, this machine is what you need in your life. Texture of the ice is nice and soft and easy to chew. The machine does make some noise, but not loud at all. The built-in self cleaning feature is fantastic and another plus is the top with the mechanisms in it comes off so you can also clean that as well. The only negative thing I would have to say about this machine is the ice basket only has a few drain holes to the left of the basket opposed to little drain holes all along the basket. This ice maker is amazing! It makes a big basket of ice quickly & is very quiet! Once the ice maker has made the first batch of ice, which takes about 45 minutes, the additional batches make pretty quickly. The nuggets are the perfect size.Make sure you let the newly delivered machine sit upright for 24 hours. Wash the basket & clean the water reservoir. Make a couple of batches of ice & toss out, as recommended by the manufacturer. After that, it's delicious ice, ice & more ice!Love this machine - so glad our previous machine froze up & we replaced it with this one!

I took one star off because the maker claims it is quiet. It is not. It is VERY noisy. it is, by far, the loudest device of any sort, refrigerator, freezer, AC units, etc. all pale by comparison. It makes a really annoying whirrrrrr, whirrrr sound about once every couple minutes, continuously, between actual ice-making cycles to check to see if the ice inlet is blocked. It then starts up, and there is a loud fan and compressor noise.I took the second star off, because the bin never really fills up unless you come move the ice around every few minutes. This thing works fantastic. It makes small ice cubes and it’s pretty quick. I have an icemaker on my refrigerator that keeps breaking and every time I get it fixed it’s like a $500 fee so guess what this is my new icemaker I give it a five star.

I had a a crunchy ice machine for about two years and then it died. I looked at replacing it, but the pricing on them was between three and $400 and that I felt was just not in my budget.I visited my cousin and saw that his ice machine was perfect size for small counters. I ask him where he got it. He said Amazon I asked him how much was it? how much did it cost? Looks good sitting on my counter, quiet. This product makes the good ice. The kind you get when you order a soda. It’s perfect. It takes 7 minutes for the ice to start filling up the bin. The only downside it does take a bit to fill up the bin, which is why I gave it four stars.Whatever you do…do not attempt to make ice tea cubes, it does not work. You get slush. Stick to regular cubes. Stick to water.
