These Sanmeiho knifes are very nice andThey have a beautiful cutting edge. I love to spend time in the kitchen. I love to cook, and I was in need for a new set of knives. These knives are gorgeous but huge and kind of heavy! The weight combined with the kind of weird balance of the knives (especially the biggest knife) give them a kind of strange learning curve to use. That being said, I personally found the handles very comfortable to hold and use. I've never heard of pakkawood before, but I am very pleased with it!The knives are SUPER sharp and I was able to get very nice thin cuts with them. I was able to cut through my tuna for a poke bowl without decimating it the way my old knives would have! So I'm definitely pleased with their performance, I just wish t
