This camera feels super solid right out of the box and installation was pretty painless. Having a direct ethernet port is a huge plus if you prefer a wired setup over relying solely on wireless signals.The zoom on this thing is legit. The zoom stays surprisingly crisp and detailed, though the autofocus can occasionally get a little indecisive while zooming in real time. Still, for what this costs, it is way better than expected. THIS CAMERA IS LISTED AS WATERPROOF, BUT WATER LEAKED INTO THE CAMERA ON THE FIRST RAIN. Now the lens is fogged up and that section of the camera, the black ball, is where the electronics is housed. So now I am sure that the electronics in the black part of the camera is being corroded and will soon stop working all together.Tracks trees really well! This HXVIEW 4K PTZ Camera is so far the best camera I have used. First the setting are great. I can use the app for most settings, or type in the cameras IP address into chrome and this is were the full setting are. My old DVR cant handle the 4K image so i was able to reduce it to 1080p. The pictures i posted are in 1080p so I would probably be blown away by 4k. the picture with the silver gate is from the back yard of my property all the way to the front and across the street. Great image quality and fantastic zoom. More than decent camera controls. Based on the camera quality and image quality, I would give it five stars— if you use it as a hardwired camera. If you use it as a wireless camera, I would give it -0- stars.Even though the company's Tech Support has tried to help, it will not stay connected to my wireless network for more than a couple of days. In the month I've had it I cannot say how many times I have reset my router, deleted the camera from the router, reset the camera, rebooted devices, reinstalled CamHipro and IPcams, deleted the camera from them,

It has no adjustment for BLM, WDR, etc., which makes about 80% of the screen black at night. This makes it not that good of a camera in the dark. It can only see about 40' at night when zoomed out all the way. If you need to use this camera in the dark, think twice. My $39 Tapo pan/tilt sees in the dark at least 5 times better than this cam.The brightness and contrast setting on the PC app do NOTHING. I tried several cameras before deciding on using this version fromHXVIEW . The key features that I was looking for: crystal clear high quality footage, local recordings without a monthly fee, reliably detect motion, and notify me on my cell phone ,This camera not only meets all of my requirements, but it is even BETTER than I hoped! I am VERY impressed that this camera could detect the difference between moving objects in the footage (ALL animals, vehicles and humans) without needing to be connected to a cloud service. This camera can even detect free roaming chickens! Needless to say, the AI
