I was a bit reticent about buying this knife because it is not made in Japan, rather China. I was ill concerned immediately upon opening the package. I have many fine kitchen cutlery and my son who still resides with us has as well. This knife is a masterpiece of design and execution. It is light, sharp, tough, and absolutely beautiful. It is also extremely well balanced with a grip that marries to my larger hand deliciously. The price with the coupon was ridiculously low. I’m tempted to buy a second just because or to save it for a gift. We are have 3 huge tri-tip roasts for a Fourth of July

Be careful with this knife it is very sharp, which is what you wantIt cuts beautifully. Well balanced well worth the price. Just go get it.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:I liked contrast of light wood with silver knives. Reviews were positive. Set is odd, there is not a place for the biggest knife. I missed that in Description, im assuming that fact is in there but a heads up just in case. Also the scissors keeps falling apart and i put blades back but they fall right off. Knives r razor shark and set is good looking. Five stars on sharpness and looks but only three on the rest of what I described, hope this might help, pasta pc

This is so nice! Chops even sweet potatoes easily and boy is it sharp! This is my first actual knife that wasn’t from a block knife set and I had to be really careful not to nick my fingers. Never realized there was a difference before. I barely use my block knifes now other than the bread slicer.
