I spent considerable time researching and visiting places I could hear what I wanted from a sound system. Overall, a nice set of speakers that take up little space - I have the front satellites mounted on wall and the rear satellites on the ceiling. The bass unit is a little too long and I would prefer that it be a little wider and not as deep. I use the speakers mainly for watching video. Good sound quality and dialog is very clear. As expected, the bass is not quite satisfying. I would probably need to add a sub to supplement the low end to match the quality of the mid and high spectrum. The speakers can handle plenty of power but start sounding a little overworked if you turn up the volume too

The 10th speaker bowl system was an outdated product. I have no use of the item it’s outdated and they charged me just about $1000. I requested a refund for the obsolete item and they refused. I would like to give the seller as well as Amazon and if I feel that I was so an outdated product that I can’t use and I truly would like my refund.

I have the Bose 901 speakers, which I love and have enjoyed for years. Unfortunately, due to the proprietary equalizer that comes with them, they are not compatible with nearly all of the new digital THX systems, which do not feature a main speaker pre-amp output loop to connect the equalizer. The Bose name is over hyped. I bought these speakers to replace by Boston Acoustics that have served me very well for 6 years and had to be replaced because power surge blew the subwoofer and I did not have the patience and time to try to figure out a way of repairing the subwoofer. The Acoustimass 10 lives up to the Bose name and my expectations. Instructions are easy to follow and, when paired with the recommended Onkyo A/V receiver in my 12' x 12' Man Cave, the first tune I played when finished with the installation brought a huge smile to my face.
