Bose SoundTouch 130 Home Theater System - Black

I just purchased this system for my family room after reading the great reviews and hearing the incredible sound quality at the Bose store. I replaced out a 20 years old system I had put together that consisted of an Onkyo AV Receiver, Bose 501 tower speakers, JBL center, surround and powered subwoofer. Sort of a Frankenstein system that at the time cost me over $2000 back then! Portions of my old set-up were component video and not HDMI. The sound quality was no longer crisp and clear and was rather muffled. I knew it was time to move up to the 21st Century !! I hooked up this new Bose system

Really like this sound bar. Installation was easy and love the wireless subwoofer. I am using it connected to a Sony Bravia TV and PS4. The TV is connected to the Bose system via the hdmi Arc port. This allows me to control the PS4 and Bose system with a Logitech Harmony remote which is awesome. Just have to use the IR Blaster. The Bose system has an auto calibration headset that actually does a good job adjusting sound settings to the ideal setting for the room it is installed in. I never wanted a sound bar, but after being in the market for a decent surround sound system for a few months, liking Bose but not wanting to spend $3500 on a full system, I went to a Bose outlet, I didn't see a huge enough difference from this system to the $3500 7.1 they offer. Is there a difference? Sure. Is it a $2k difference. Not to me. Received it quickly as usual from prime. Set up was reasonable at about an hour for full set up and calibration. Provides great sound, volume goes to 100, average TV watching I keep it andndbout 35, if you want to really experience

Bought this system last year in march. Worked well I was really happy with it until the sub-woofer stopped working. I tried resetting the system but it just does not connect. Very Frustrated and disappointed in Bose reliability. I researched on this and found this is a known and fairly common problem. I am surprised Bose has not released a fix for this issue. Beware of this when you BUY this system, its not cheap and will be a frustrating experience.Update I bought Asurion protection plan for this system and that's another disappointment, save your money and stay away from this system and Asur

Sound quality is great. But its not working as expected as . All the time it switches between sources without our intervention.

Love it. I think its more flexible than other systems. I used the Bose.com/support for set up questions not clearly outlined with in box instructions. The main Bose 130 system is used in the family room. Paired with a set of Bose SoundLink 10 speakers (office, porch) for whole home music while entertaing. Also purchased the Bose SoundLink Adapter essentially upgrading my Yamaha receiver and surround system in the basement/outside too. I essentially upgraded and connected the whole home for less money then I use to pay just to install a system. Bose has now hit the tipping point for rapid growt

Amazing technology from Bose! Satisfied to have made a good decision. Easy to setup and powerful sound. You can enjoy different internet radio stations at the touch of a button on your phone. The universal remote is good too. I recommend this product to anyone who desires a touch of elegance.
