The pocket camera market has become incredibly strange over the last decade or so. The PowerShot V1 offers a great combo of image quality, value, and performance.To start with vlogging/video, this camera is excellent for making videos at home. The larger sensor (basically micro four thirds) compared to other compact cameras in this price range makes lighting much easier. I can't comment on long-term construction quality, but my initial use and reaction to this camera is it is exactly what I wanted in a point and shoot digital camera. The only negative so far is the max 50mm on the zoom, but of course, knew that before purchase so not an issue. I like the zoom in general, and as mainly for photography, it does a great job with the 1.4" sensor. I see no quality issues compared to bigger APS-C and Full frame canon cameras. Awesome camera, got it for $700 on BF. Amazing autofocus on the eye. I use it on video tasty cool picture mode 1080p and the image looks amazing on youtube. I have also used 4k clog3 on davinci and it's even crazier.For photos, I use my old godox flashes/triggers with the Ad-E1 adapter. The lens isn't as sharp as the bigger cameras, but it's good enough.-1 star for no charger, being larger, and slower aperture f2.8. A perfect score would be a new G7x f1.8 with the autofocus of the V1.

A good number of reviews on the web portrayed the PowerShot V1 as the spiritual successor of the incomparable, but now aging, PowerShot G7x. It is not. The V1 is much larger, considerably heavier, and it really has no conventional zoom. Turn it on and it defaults to almost fish-eye. Full "zoom" is really just like no zoom in most cameras. That's because the V1 is very specifically designed for vLoggers -- video bloggers -- whose default is doing selfie-video while explaining things. If that's your gig, the V1 is great. I’m actually obsessed with the quality of my videos now. I solely used my dji osmo pocket 3 but then that broke so I got this and I love it! I feel like the quality in my videos on TikTok and YouTube increased dramatically. The battery life does suck tho so you’ll have to buy more. The photos are amazing especially with the flash 😍

Love it so much. I use it on daily basis. Family and even some YouTube videos because this little thing records in Clog. If you are a canon user this is awesome pocket camera that can be a b roll camera or even top down shots for unboxing videos.
