It's a beautiful range hood. Buttons are not "soft touch", i.e. almost like a touch screen where it senses your finger instead of relying on a mechanical button to make the circuit connection. Not enough buttons to make the timed blower operation intuitive or easy, but we probably won't be using the timer anyway. Update 12.2019: Electronics went out just short of my 2 year anniversary. No warning signs, but just stopped working. Did not realize this brand only had a 1 year warranty so I'm completely out of luck. Bought a similar one that has a 3 year warranty. Reading through the comments, my guess is I would have had difficulty with customer service regardless. This range hood is easy to install. In fact, it only took two screws to the wall and then hang it on them, just like hanging a picture. Nonetheless, the hood is well equipped for its function. I had installed at least three hoods by myself in the past because of moving, this one is quite powerful and relatively quiet. The outlook is elegant and nice. My wife was excited to see the hood was put on since that's her domain. She is very happy on using this hood.

This has a classic range hood design that can fit almost any kitchen style. The 4 star review is due to the bright light from the buttons and a warranty claim that I had to file. The buttons are back light by a VERY bright blue LED. The LED's are so bright that they dominate the soft glow from the halogen. This was a replacement of a Cavaliere range hood with the same product number in which the fan bearings were going out, should of been a straight out swap. This was not the same size nor was it as heavily made as the first one, 3lbs lighter, seems like thinner stainless steel. The shipping container was beat to heck, and I should have just returned it. I put one of these in my previous house and I thought it was a good value. The display began having some issues with some button's back light not working after a few years use but it still functioned fine. This one I purchased on Amazon though the seller Wayfair for my new house. These units really moves some air. Purchased this range hood for kitchen remodel. Electrician installing noticed that unit did not power up properly and found that plug for circuit board was loose. Unit worked fine for a few weeks then intermittently would power down and not restart. Circuit board has short that resets when power is disconnected. Multiple calls over the past month have had several promises to send new circuit board, but still no arrival. Poor communication, poor follow-up, no system to support this product to resolve a simple issue.
