I rate this 5 stars because it filled a particular need for a small monitor with a display port connection that lent itself to being somewhat portable and inexpensive. It fills simply a utilitarian use. It would also be a good choice for a server monitor as it also has a vga port. If your needs match mine this is a safe buy.
This monitor works great! The screen size is just right as a second monitor. The picture is clear and it was easy to set up. Great price!
This is a good product if you are looking for a smaller screen size. Just note the ports it shows in the pictures. You will likely need to by another HDMI cable to connect it to your laptop. Specifically, HDMI (Source) to VGA (Display), which are inexpensive ($7-15ish). This monitor comes with a power cord and the other cable for the 3rd port shown, which I have never seen or used before. I didn't realize this at first and would have bought everything together, so I didn't have to wait to use it.
Comes with several video cables to connect to your computer. Nothing to download, just plug and play!The display is bright and clear. Simple instructions to connect the bottom base. Works Great.Now hopefully, it will last as long as my old Dell monitor... 14 years!
Nice clear screen and quite an upgrade over my old Dell LED 19 inch from about 15 years ago. Easy to assemble and set up. I'm using the VGA connection and still have not figured out what HD (DO) is for because my old Dell desktop and newer one doesn't have that connector. They use HDMI. This monitor does not support that.
I ordered this to go with my Dell 8930 Desktop computer to replace a bigger monitor that had become to cumbersome to use on my desk. Since connecting this monitor to my Dell Desktop 8930, the monitor will occasionally connect to my desk top computer but most of the time it will not. After a lot of coaxing - turning everything off and on, working the mouse and the keyboard, it will eventually connect. Of course, this only happens when I need to get on for work and I don't have 30 minutes to coax the POS to work. Stay away. Dell and their quality not what it used to be.
