These rock, they sound great. I also go the subwoofer that goes with it. I am blown away at how good these sound. Even turned down really low they still sound great. Out of the box they are meh. Just wrote a review of the companion Edifier R1700BTs speakers, which are awesome. If you're looking for a budget system that produces every note from the lowest to highest, I highly recommend pairing this sub with those speakers (which have a subwoofer out and seem made to pair with the T5).Once the T5 is properly placed to integrate with the speakers, it's very impressive indeed. I've owned about a dozen other subs ranging in varying sizes and power levels and to me this sub is clearly the best value. Its not too expensive at 150 bucks and produces plenty of sound even for a larger room. Pairs particularly well with bookshelf style speakers. I have mine paired with a set of Edifier r1280t speakers. I needed a sub to fill in some bottom end for my treadmill room stereo system. I have a pair of Mordaunt Short Carnival 2 speakers hooked up to a Sonos Amp in that room and they sound great. The Edifier T5 Powered Subwoofer is the best PC Bass I have ever had. You can feel the bass in your bones. Setting this up took me some time to get the sound right, since I am using it with the Creative Labs Pebble X Plus. The bass is amazing. You have so much bass that the room will shake.The bass is clean, and if you have the right software (see below), you can make it sharp, quick, reverb, etc. Bottom line, if you are looking for bass, this delivers.
