Works well for my application, which is to power a 12vdc fan. Workable voltage range is 3.2 - 12.2 volts. Control knob does have a off position, is very sensitive and does not use its full range of motion to adjust voltage. Have left it on continuously for days and does not heat up or get warm.
Love these power supplies this is my second one.
It’s 5 amp adapter which gives you enough power to run and test your devices. The volume works fine but it is not that sensitive, when you start turning the volume it’s showing 3 volts and by turning more the voltage goes up, when you reach to 3/4 of the the turn the voltage reaches to 12 volts and rest quarter of the turn is for nothing. But still is good.
This is nothing but dangerous cheap garbage. I used this to replace an LED light 12v 60W power supply. It worked fine at first, but then (2 months later) I noticed the light wasn't very bright anymore. The display indicated it was only putting out 7.6v. I opened it up to see the circuit board was very burnt on the bottom and the output capacitors looked ready to explode. I would not trust this power supply for anything. Spend a few more dollars to get something higher quality.
Delivered very quickly, but I found that when powering 6V LED lamps (for pinball, juke box and vintage auto uses etc, AC or DC) the lamps flickered at 6V output. When I tried the same bulb on my bench top DC supply the lamps flickered at did not flicker. The output from this sweet little power supply is NOT smooth DC. I suspect it is simply rectified AC with inadequate capacitors to smooth out the rectified cycles. I am returning it. Not sure how I will solve this for my miniature diorama.
Good for testing and short-term use. Despite claiming a minimum of 3V, I couldn't get it to reliably go below ~3.45V. Also, the voltage tends to slowly drop over time (or at least the reading slowly falls.) Other than that though, it works well enough to use with electronics projects and can supply the claimed 60W.
Volt range, amps, and watts is perfect match for what I needed it for, so I had no problems.
I use this for electrosynthesis and other electrolytic experiments and it works quite well. Output is stable and accurate to the display. Better then average for made in china quality. No complaints after a month of use
