If your local water is good, or you have a whole house filter this will save you money
I have had no problems whatsoever and I really appreciate not having to worry about the high price of filters. I am more than happy to drink my water from the tap in my local area. No reason to be wasting money on a filter anyway mostly use this for the ice maker and it seems to be behaving just fine. I’ve not noticed any leakage. It was as easy to use as replacing a regular filter incredible value for the money when you consider you’re no longer having to buy filters again install installation was great and so far it seems durable. No More Buying Expensive Water Filters
Worked as intended and very pleased! GE as well as other refrigerator manufacturers, take advantage of their customers by charging way too much for their refrigerator water filters. Also, there is no way to eliminate an error display code when the filters usage timer is reached; which is very short lived. I compare theses water filters to inkjet printers; the printers are relatively cheap, but they charge you a small fortune for ink that doesn’t last very long. What a racket! My refrigerators water is first filtered through a reverse osmosis filter and there is no need for using the refrigerat

No more expensive cartridges!
Our water is good already but it seems like you cannot buy a refrigerator these days without a preinstalled water filter and the constant replacement cost that comes with. This has fixed the issue. Did notice my fridge started showing a "not filtered" message when getting water so just took off the display panel and unplugged that "feature". Definitely worth it IF you have good water.
