It was delivered today (holy speedy delivery, batman!) so I got to test it out about an hour ago.Since I wasn't expecting it to come today, I wasn't really prepared. I had frozen chicken breasts but none were thawed.. I'm impatient so I just said "oh well" and decided to try it out anyway. I bought this to replace our large foreman grill that had the non-stick coating wearing off. We've used this one a couple times already and I think it's a pretty good cooker for the price. It is on the small side (smaller than it looks in the picture compared to the two burger patties) as it will barely fit two 4oz burger patties or 6 hot dogs. That's our primary complaint is just the small size. It's great if there is only two people to feed but could be a hassle for a family. I replaced my 20 year old previous small version of this grill with this newer model. This unit is lighter & the top part of the unit is not as heavy so it does not squeeze the meat as much. This newer model also has more of a hinged lid than my previous older model. This newer unit does not heat as fast & hot which is better. The older unit cooked too hot & too fast. I use my grill a little different than most people probably. I dislike cleaning grease splatter off my black glass stove top so I don't fry anything on my stove. This product is absolutely WONDERFUL!. I live in a small apartment and this classic plate grill is so useful, so high quality, so practical. It grills fish, any meat, vegetables so fast and beautifully and the taste cannot be better. I cannot live without this marvelous item. It occupies little space which it's a plus too. It's so easy to clean. I recommend this product to anybody who likes good items on Amazon. George Foreman is a genius designing, selling these great products indispensable in every kitchen. Acceptable Cooking Appliance; More Cheaply Made than Original ModelI bought the first Foreman Champ Grill decades ago which only came in white. First impression: This grill shows the evolution in quality -- downward -- that has hit all sorts of U.S. products over the last 3 decades. This grill is cheaply made, considerably lighter than the first generation Champ Grill and takes longer to cook food. While it serves it's purpose, I'd rather have a first generation grill if I could find one. Let me compare both and review cooking results.Comparison between the original Champ Grill and this model:

I love my George Foreman grill. I use it often to grill a variety of foods. Perfect for grilling breakfast links & sausage patties, hash brown patties, hamburgers and much more. I've even grilled fish fillets. If you like grilled sandwiches, you'll love this thing. Try grilling a ham & cheese bagel for a unique meal. I only cook for myself, and its a perfect size. Clean up is simple - just let it cool down and wipe the cooking surface with a damp paper towel. I wish I'd bought one sooner.
