Hauslane Wall Mount Range Hood 30" Convertible 450-860 CFM 6 Speed

This review is for the Chef model UC-PS18SS-36 range hood with LED lighting. The hood was delivered today which means we haven't installed it yet so will have to update this review later on. Packaging was done carefully and the shipper was careful with it as there was no sign of mishandling or damage at all. I am writing the review a little early because when we removed it from the box and unwrapped it today just to look at it, we were both so impressed at how beautiful it is. I love how modern and sleek the design of this unit is. The suction is powerful and the noise level isn't too loud. The range hood was easy to install. Overall, I would recommend this range hood!

Too soon for me to give 5 stars, but I like it so far. Not too loud on high settings. Not super quiet, but nothing will be at the high cfm levels. Pretty quiet at low levels. Buttons not very sensitive, sometimes have to press more than once. May be an issue. We'll see. Some hard 90 degree edges at the front corners of the hood. Would not be pleasant to hit your head on them if you're tall enough.Main negative is the relative difficulty of install. I purchase as a replacement of old rangehood. This one is a much better-quality product and is wonderful as well! The various fan speed settings provide ideal amount of airflow. The lowest speed performs well for most, while the top speed is solid enough to get rid of even the toughest odors or cooking smoke. My kitchen is much fresher thanks to the dual fans excellent ability to eliminate excess heat from stovetop and oven. It instantly upgraded the look of my kitchen and feels like a premium appliance without being over the top.Performance-wise, it works exactly as expected. I’ve had this product for a while now, and works great. The filters are easy to remove. The fan is strong. Product is well made. Couldn’t be happier.

This under cabinet hood looks sleek and modern, but has some major design flaws. The 3 biggest cons are:A. It is extremely loud at the higher levels compared to otger 700 usd range hoods. At lowest level it is okay, but as soon as you crank up the speed it is annoyingly loud.B. There is some internal metal rattling sound tgat comes from inside at 2 highest level speeds. The internal rattling sound cannot be heard from next room but it is very bothering to my wife standing right under while cooking.C. For some reason in my unit tge time adjustment cannot be changed. It took two strong men with jacks to properly position this baby, and the instructions were not clear at all. Overly expensive install because of this so budget for that.It works okay; however, naturally it has some problems.1st of all, poor design because there's no raised bump or even a small light where the main on/off button is, which makes it difficult to use when main kitchen light is on low--especially bad if you wear glasses.2nd, it's very noisy in comparison to its ability to suck smoke or smells out of the kitchen, and so we're still opening doors and windows especially when cooking
