Used up all of my HDMI ports and grandson wants to plug in his Switch every time he visits. Rather than overwork the TV side I bought this to simply push a button between inputs (already plugged in). Now when he visits he doesn't have to pull out the TV to access the port and decide which one to remove. Also, when finished he doesn't have to remove his and put mine back.
i'm honestly annoyed by this product. every once in a while it will suddenly switch between sources without reason. i've tried lots of things to see if something is triggering it (banging on the desk, tapping the device, waking up a different source, setting timers to see how long it lasts before switching) and nothing consistently caused the splitter to switch sources, it was totally random. i've been using it as more of an extender for my hdmi port and changing the cords out manually -- it works and is easier than moving my whole monitor and plugging it in, but i really wanted to be able to

Seemed the least expensive of these hdmi switchrrs and it definitely does what it’s supposed to do. I don’t know why it requires power, and it says in the instructions that the power is optional… Though you may find it handy to buy a female to female HDMI turnaround, depending on how you wire things.
I never got around to using this much, but it works. The ports are close together so some dont fit. Easy to use, especially for a computer. Great value
Not a big fan, I have to continuously unplug and plug back into the port. I don't want to ware out my port looking for something different.
I got this 3-way HDMI switch to replace one that I must have had for a decade or more now. One of the inputs was connected to my M4 Mac mini and I was getting fairly frequent flashes on the monitor. Swapping out the old one for this one was straightforward as they are pretty much the same, just the lead to the monitor from the switch is about an inch shorter on this newer version. I don't recall seeing any more flashing from the Mac since installing this switch.Once installed this behaves exactly as you would expect. Inputs are auto-detected as you power on / off devices.
