bought this splitter from amazon few days back. quality and ease of use is pretty good and recommended who wants splitter use in their laptops and monitor/PCs. single button works without any issue and of-course the indicator is the added feature that's worth of the price.
It works .... but it also blew all my hdmi ports on everything it was plugged into ... even though my things were all plugged into a surge protector for the power plug when we had a surg all my hdmi ports that were plugged into this blew 😑So now the tv is dead ... the Playstation, Nintendo switch an our TV box all ports will have to be replaced .
Perfect to connect all game systems and streaming devices to tv with only 1 hdmi connection so wires stay hidden and no fishing behind entertainment center for lost wires.
I use this for using different sources for presentations. It is also good for older TV's that only has 1 or 2 HDMI outlets. Make sure you order an extension if this is going somewhere not close to your devices.
Works as it should
I plugged in multiple gaming consoles (Wii, Wii u, & Nintendo Switch), and even though the lights turned on to show which display was selected, none of the devices actually displayed/played on my tv. If i plugged the gaming console directly into to tv, it displayed without issue on the screen. Very disappointing that it didn't work. Had high hopes for this device.
I wanted a switch with a pig tail connection to make available ports on my TV easier to access. This answered that problem. BUT I have a PC and PS4 connected into it. When the PC went to sleep, it would give us nothing but headaches trying to find the signal again. It also "auto switched" during random times. PC on and in use, PS4 just sitting there OFF. Or vice versa. Mid game? It WILL ruin you until you unplug and re plug and find the signal again. Spend the extra like 2 dollars for the better option. THIS IS NOT IT!
