Where has this been all my life?? I hate making rice on the stovetop so I avoided making it for years, eating my curries riceless and just being sad about it in general. I've read some of these rev that say the lid cracks. Silly people. It cracks because you tightened the top handle too tight. It need to be a little loose to expand when the steam hits it. I love my rice maker. I use it all the time and as long as you set a timer and unplug it at that time you get perfect rice every time. When the switch flips to warm from cook you have to be careful. If left for more than a few minutes after it will go from browning the bottom of the rice to burning fairly quickly.
