IMUSA 10 Cup Deluxe Stainless Steel Electric Rice Cooker with Steam Tray

This little rice cooker has worked great for me. I have owned it for about 2.5 years and it's still working great. I use it to cook wild rice weekly. I add an extra 1/4 cup of water as a buffer to keep the cook setting for the rice from completely evaporating the water and potentially burning any rice.

So far so good! Using it temporarily til I decide my next big rice cooker purchase. My last one was probably 4 years old so I gave it to a friend. I usually have a Korean or Japanese brand but needed something temporary and small bc I have a kitchenette situation at the moment and this works perfectly for space saving. I only use it for Korean white sticky rice. I wouldn’t advise using this type of rice cooker for brown rice. I did a fair amount of reading reviews from many rice cookers. I fail miserably at the cook top method so it was a must. I came across this one and read the positives with the negatives and can say they are both correct. First and foremost, I am happy with this item. It in fact DOES make consistent, good rice each and every time. I use it about once a week and make the minimum 1 cup at a time. Perfect capacity for a family of 4-5 people. It is durable and I use it almost daily for two years. Rice has cooked perfectly each time. No toxic smells at all and it's versatile to use in dorms too!

I got this because my old rice cooker was too big for 1-2 people. This is the perfect size. It doesn’t take up much room on the counter. It’s easy to clean. The nonstick bowl is easy to take in and out of the cooker. The lid is nice and sturdy. I notice when I make a full pot, there’s no bubbles or leakage when cooking, but if I make smaller batches, the bubbles will kind of cling more to the lid and spew out the sides a little, sprinkling my counter with a little rice water. It’s nothing major that a quick wipe down can’t fix, but I thought I’d mention it. Cook time is efficient; no undercook
