I purchased this rice cooker after having a much bigger, expensive digital cooker for almost 10 years but the inner pot became so scratched overtime that it needed to be replaced. After shopping around I realize that almost all rice cookers come with a coated, nonstick bowl. I began searching for a more durable and healthy stainless steel bowl and this is what I found.Its much smaller and simpler than my previous model and Id like to compare the two. I love my rice cooker.The inner pot is made of stainless steel and on the 10 cup model, there's also a slot to hang the spoon.I don't use the rice measurement.cup provided so I can't attest to the outcome.I use a regular 1 cup measure and follow the directions on the bag of rice.One tip is to take out the plug when the rice is finished cooking.This prevents the rice from sticking to the bottom of the pot.It's really easy to clean too and definitely not as expensive as other models .

I like this rice cooker. It is very simple in options for cooking and keeping it warm, and you can hear the click when the rice is done. I love the stainless steel part, and that’s actually the reason I bought it, because you can actually take it off to keep it clean and it doesn’t leak any chemicals. The downside is that the rice tends to stick to the bottom, so I had to add extra water at the end to not lose much rice, and I still have to soak it before washing it. I purchased all three variations. The first one, with a stainless steel pot, came non-functional. The second one, with a non-stick coating, worked fine, but immediately burned my rice at the warm setting. The third one, the aluminum came in damaged, and the cooker burned my rice again. I am almost positive that if the first one worked, it would have burned my rice too. I'm pretty sure, due to reading other reviews with the same issue. I use this to cook my dog's homemade meals 2x daily. I purchased because it was stainless steel. Other versions were nonstick and got all scraped up over time and I worry about chemical leeching with the non-stick coated pots/pans. This one has held up very nicely. Food does stick, but I'm cooking more than just rice. I notice that if you leave it on warm, the food has a tendency to stick more because it's becoming overcooked and burning at the heat source.
